The Day-to-Day

  • Manage multiple bids, proposals, and estimations across various projects, serving as the main contact for project managers and vendors.
  • Calculate labor, production, materials, and logistics costs to create accurate project estimates.
  • Coordinate with engineering, vendors, and production staff to ensure all costs are accounted for.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers and staff to confirm projects align with required designs and specifications.
  • Submit project estimates to the sales team before bid dates.
  • Obtain and review vendor quotes to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Work with the sales team on proposal reviews, ensuring all project requirements and timelines are accurate.
  • Conduct Turnover/Kick-Off meetings to finalize project details and schedules with the sales team.
  • Assist with change order proposals as needed.
  • Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, provide technical advice, and proactively support team members.
  • Assist with inside sales, production reporting, and invoicing as required.

Job Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex bids/projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and use our management systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Skills You Need

  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Associate’s Degree or experience in Civil Engineering preferred but not required.
  • Experience in estimating or project management in construction or asphalt industries preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
