The Day-to-Day

  • Initiate and maintain liaisons between Owner, Prime Contractor, or Subcontractor, to facilitate construction activities.
  • Monitor/control construction with the on-site Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Monitor the overall safety of employees on the project.
  • Coordinate materials, trucking, and subcontractor work.
  • Represent the company in project meetings and assist in planning meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.).
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Senior Project Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical.
  • Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Report to work at the designated start time and be able to work long hours when required.
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
  • Complete safe driver training and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • May be required to have or acquire a CDL as necessary.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.

Skills You Need

  • Construction Management Degree or equivalent.
  • Regular work attendance is a requirement for this position.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management required.
  • A thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on project activities is vital.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills are essential.
  • Business acumen, decision quality, ability to self-manage and measure work, and a drive for results.
  • P6 scheduling experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Bid 2 Win and/or Heavy Bid preferred.
  • TXDOT traffic control/safety standards knowledge preferred.
