The Day-to-Day

  • Facilitate communication between the Owner, Prime Contractor, and Subcontractors to coordinate construction activities.
  • Collaborate with the on-site Superintendent to monitor project progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are met; address and resolve any critical issues.
  • Oversee safety protocols for all project employees.
  • Coordinate materials, trucking, and subcontractor schedules.
  • Represent the company in project and planning meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fees, equipment rentals, and expenses, to balance company interests with client relations.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Project Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Complete pre-employment requirements, including drug screening, criminal background check, “Fit for Work” physical, and I-9 documentation.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Be punctual, flexible to work extended hours, and committed to safety procedures.
  • Work effectively in a team, assisting co-workers or supervisors as needed.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; complete safe driver training. CDL may be required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Skills You Need

  • Construction Management degree or equivalent.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and influence.
  • Strong business acumen, decision quality, and ability to manage and measure work effectively.
  • Experience with P6 scheduling preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with Bid 2 Win and/or Heavy Bid preferred.
  • Knowledge of TXDOT traffic control and safety standards preferred.
